As it's Summer and I have a lot more time for crafting and swapping (yay for swap-bot.com!), I figure I might as well make a blog to document the crafts I make and the mail I send. Of course I will black out the addresses and names on the envelope! Privacy is important.
One of my favorite things to create are Artist Trading Cards (ATCs), so my blog will probably have a heavy focus on those. :')
My First Swap of the Summer:
Book Page ATC # 5:
This was an ATC swap where the ATC had to feature a book page on it somewhere. I chose to make an ATC of Captain Jean-Luc Picard, from Star Trek (or at least, his outfit). "Make it so" is a quote he is well-known for. The book page is from an old dictionary I has lying around.
The note-card is a Sumi-E I painted when my Art Class went through a Japanese Art Unit. Sumi-E literally translates in Ink Picture/Drawing. This is a plum blossom tree. ^_^
My partner enjoys Star Trek, so I thought she might like this. I had fun decorating the envelope with books! :)
